Mumford and Wood were established in 1954 to produce high quality joinery products, with particular expertise in sliding sash windows, using the best quality timber, traditional craftsmanship and with an emphasis on attention to detail. We are now the UK’s leading premium brand for bespoke timber sash windows, offering a full range of traditional wooden spring and box sash windows, as well as Casement Windows and French doors. Sash windows were originally found in Georgian and Victorian houses; however a traditional timber sliding sash window makes a beautiful addition to almost any house. Conservation Window Range
The ConservationTM window ranges offer period sliding Box and Spring sash window styles to meet varied specifications, together with French Doorsets and Casement Windows to compliment and complete the range. The ‘Contemporary’ range offers tilt-turn windows, casements and folding and sliding doors.
Green Commitment
As part of our ‘green’ commitment, Mumford and Wood has gained Environmental Management Certification for the environmentally conscious way that the timber and other materials used in our wooden sliding sash windows are sourced and disposed of.
State of the art production facility
The Company’s head office and main manufacturing unit is in Tiptree, Essex. This is a state of the art production facility which is supplied by the Company’s specialist laminated wood processing plant in nearby Maldon, Essex.
