BECL has extensive environmental consulting experience however we are most well known through our asbestos consultancy team. BECL is accredited by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) as an Inspection Body for undertaking asbestos surveys and risk assessments. The quality standards, procedures and techniques required for achieving UKAS accreditation are utilised throughout the company.
BECL team members are used to working in many and varied environments and situations:
- Undertaking an intrusive/destructive inspection of a grade 1 listed property.
- Working within secure residential care homes.
- Delivering critical path reports for multi million pound developments.
Our clients regularly ask the team members to use their skills in all situations; industrial, commercial, health industry, rural and agricultural as well as domestic.
BECL makes extensive use of technology in providing accurate, detailed reports. BECL uses bespoke computer software packages to record site data, this enables efficient transformation into usable reports.
BECL recognises the need for variations in costs for all works dependant on the situation and circumstance. BECL provides very competitive quotes based on our experience and reconnaissance visits as appropriate. Quotes for works are given.

BECL was developed from Balfours, the leading Shropshire based firm of chartered surveyors. BECL started trading as a separate entity from February 2004.
