The U.K. has always been renowned for ‘quality tradesmen’ producing quality products but some companies were cutting corners. Three people (Craig, Paul and Anthony) shared the same ethos and believed that it was time to stand up and be noticed.
CPA Bespoke joinery Ltd was born.
Since our establishment we have had organic growth and at present we employ 10 full time staff of which 2 are apprentices. We believe that it is important to pass on the knowledge learned to the next generation before it is lost.
We are based in Bolton, Greater Manchester with over 7000sq ft of workshop space, including a well equipped machine shop, our own spray booth accompanied with a French polisher that is second to none. We are used to working from CAD and other architectural drawings, sometimes to very complex levels of specification.
Our craftsmen thrive on a challenge and with our management backup we know that we can deliver what you want.
Health and Safety
Here at CPA we understand that a safe working environment means more than just pleasing the HSE. As a high risk industry it is important to us to create a safe working environment whether it be in our workshop or on site where multiple trades can be involved.
With risk assessments and method statements mandatory we are well aware of changes in risks from job to job. This is why we have an independent specialist firm who advise us on our health and safety responsibilities, changes in the law and where we can make ongoing improvements.
All of our staff are CSCS qualified or are presently working towards this qualification as well as various staff holding the following:
- Qualified first aiders.
- PASMA trained.
- IOSH trained for health and safety.
All of this and the ongoing monitoring helps create not just a safer, but a more enjoyable working environment for all concerned.
Environment
The environment needs as much help and protection as possible and we believe that CPA, as a responsible company can play a major part in this. As a user of one of natures most important resources we use only FSC certified redwood and board products. This ensures that the forests where the timber is sourced is well managed and in turn helps to protect the future of our industry and the planet we all depend on.
Recycling
Not only are we concerned with the timber coming in, we are also concerned about the waste product we are putting out. This is why we have a local recycling firm that collects all of our timber and board waste, meaning that 98% of this is recycled. This is an ongoing process and whenever we see improvements can be made, we as a responsible company adapt our policies to incorporate them and put them into practice.
