He/She will also offer professional Energy Advice tailored to the customer’s needs. A quotation will then be sent to the customer and details of all schemes which may be available to them. At the customer’s request, Homeseal staff will then arrange a suitable time and date for the installers to install the insulation measures. A 25 year CIGA guarantee (Cavity Wall Guarantee Agency) will be issued to every customer who has cavity wall insulation installed in an existing build house. New Build and Existing Build Cavity Wall Insulation Homeseal can now offer a choice of materials for cavity wall insulation:- 1.Instafibre White Mineral Wool 2.Ecobead White Polystyrene Beads 3.Ecobead Platinum Beads Ecobead Platinum Beads meets all the new Building Control Regulations when installed in a 100 mm cavity wall. Homeseal has seen a greater demand for these beads over the past few months as contractors and customers alike prepare to meet the requirements for the new energy ratings which will come into effect in the very near future. Cavity wall insulation is installed by drill holes in a predefined pattern in the exterior walls and the beads/wool is then pumped into the holes and the render is then made good to match the existing render. Loft insulation can be carried out with very little disruption as well. Practically every householder uses the attic space for storage and it may seem a very daunting task to have to go up there and clear out this area to have it insulated. The recommend depth of insulation is 270 mm deep. 100 mm laid between the rafters and 170mm cross laid. Walkway boards are fitted from the hatch door over to the cold water storage tanks for easy and safe access to the tanks. Radiator Reflector Panels –these foil reflector panels are fitted neatly behind the radiators adhered to the wall and reflect the heat back into the living area thus preventing heat escaping into the walls behind the radiators.
