Ian J. Potts Associates is a practice of Chartered building surveyors and was formed in May 1987 by the sole principal of the firm, Ian J. Potts B.A. (Hons), F.R.I.C.S., F.B.Eng. N.R.A.C Consultant.
WHAT WE OFFER A CLIENT
Basically, the work we do for clients falls into three main areas, these are:
CONSTRUCTION RELATED SERVICES
We tailor our services to match our client's requirements, but the service can cover a range of types of project, including:
New building developments.
Refurbishment, alterations, extensions and conversions.
Major repairs and planned maintenance work.
Conservation and restoration of historic buildings.
BUILDING DESIGN SERVICES
Advice on project and preparation feasibility, studies where required.
Sketch and detailed designs for all types of building project, prepared on the latest computer aided design (CAD) software.
Preparation and submission of all necessary applications to the Local Authority and any other statutory bodies.
DISABILITY ACCESS SURVEY
We can inspect a building and prepare a report to advise building owners what they need to do in order to ensure that they meet their obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.
Ian J. Potts Associates operates from our base at Hornby near Lancaster, throughout the Lake District, West Yorkshire and North Lancashire.
We believe that there is a need for a personal service in an area in which many clients have little expertise, but which represents the largest single investment most people will ever make.
As a small, totally independent professional practice, with no involvement in the estate agency business, we are well placed to offer clients the service, which they need to make the best possible use of their investment, at a realistic fee. All projects are personally supervised by the principal, and carried out by experienced personnel.
