Sundowners ROC Ltd supply quality stone cobble paving and flagstones. The Company has developed a manufacturing process which mimics the natural ageing of stone in a river bed. This produces a soft tumbled effect unique to the RocBloc. The RocBloc also has a ribbed edge, locking the cobbles together once laid.
There are two cobble ranges which can be produced in thickness from 38mm to 100mm.
Wharfedale RocBloc. (100*100mm, 150*100mm, 200*100mm).
Airedale RocBloc. (120*160mm, 160*160mm, 220*160mm)
The two ranges can be laid on their own or together to create a random effect with cross-bonded joints and minimal on site cutting. The RocBloc is ideal to use as part of a S.U.D.s compliant strategy and can be laid like clay pavers with a sand joint.
Special sizes are also available on request.
The same tumbled effect is available as a flagstone range.
Wharfedale RocFlags. (300*300mm, 450*300, 600*300mm) available in 38mm or 50mm. These can also be used as a quality wall top. This range can be used in conjunction with the Wharfedale RocBloc to produce a variety of effects.
The ability to tumble ribbons of stone up to 2m in length and 500mm width means that we can produce the same effect on edging stones, wall tops and even steps.
We also offer quality tumbled walling allowing an entire project to have the same natural effect across all the hardscape elements.
All our stone is sourced from UK quarry offcuts. We generally use buff and grey sandstone which are yorkstone in type but other stones are available. Customers with specific requirements should enquire with the Company as other stone types are available.
