SB Tippers was originally established in 1972 by two brothers, Graham and Chris Stanley, who at that time were working as owner drivers, sub-contracted to the plastics industry. The business started with one Thames Trader wagon. The brothers identified a market opportunity in the plant hire business and increased their fleet size accordingly.
The business has grown and developed over the years into what it is today - one of the largest haulage contractors and plant hire companies in the Northwest of England, specialising in bulk excavation.
Being a family run business allows us to get to know and understand our customers and satisfy their requirements by providing excellent levels of customer service.
We now employ over fifty staff including fully qualified HGV drivers, WAMITAB managers, Mechanics, Fitters and Machine Operators fully trained to CITB standards.
A Family run business with strong family values SB Tippers provide a one stop shop facility including
- Visiting your site and recommending the plant and products required
- The hiring out of all plant and machinery required for bulk excavation
- Providing HGV and CITB qualified drivers
- Removing the waste product to either land fill site or reclamation site
- Giving advice on products that can be separated and recycled into crushed aggregate
- Providing a 24 hour – 7 day per week backup and aftercare service
- Providing information on changes in legislation and new technology
