We are a small, well established architectural firm dealing with architecture, surveying and town planning projects. We readily cover projects within a 3 hour travel distance from our base at Stansted, Essex. We also work on projects further afield, but generally advise using a local Clerk of Works or partner office to oversee day to day works on site.
The firm was established by Simon Howard-Dobson in 1983. Simon trained at the Architectural Association and the North East London Polytechnic before working for the Property Services Agency (Defence Works Army), The Borough of Broxbourne & Stevenage Borough Council.
We are convinced that a varied project workload maintains interest and capability and the practice has now completed hundreds of projects of very many types including Hotels, Nightclubs, Pubs & Restaurants, individual houses, multiple housing schemes including sheltered housing, school projects including language laboratories, science laboratories, nursery schools and boarding accommodation. In addition we have designed many leisure facilities such as swimming pools, gymnasiums and home cinemas for individuals and in conjunction with hotels.
We provide the full range of Architectural, Surveying and Town Planning services to individuals, companies, government and non-government organisations, including Local Government, Schools, Housing Associations and Health Authorities.
