The Easifold Folding Sliding Door System
Origin Easifold doors are designed and manufactured exclusively at Origin’s head office and design centre in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. Each and every door is bespoke and made entirely to the customer’s specification and aperture width. With door leaves as narrow as 400mm and as wide as 1200mm, it really is possible to fit Origin Easifold doors into any opening, however big or small.
Exceptional care is taken in designing Origin doors for durability and long-term performance. Only ultra-high quality components, specifically design by Origin are used on an Easifold door.
There is a wide range of contemporary and traditional finishes available for the doors. Twelve popular colour options including white, a variety of greys, black and 4 realistic woodgrain effect finishes to capture the natural look of wood are available on a service called ‘Your lead time, not ours’ which allows the customer to dictate Origins manufacturing schedule. The bespoke doors can be manufactured in line with the customers fitting schedule. In addition, Origin offers over 150 bespoke RAL colours.
The doors are manufactured from high grade aluminium, a strong and durable material which enables narrow and aesthetically pleasing frames. The powder coat finish is extremely hardwearing and is resistant to scratches and colour-fading. A full range of handle options are also available which blend functionality, aesthetics and ergonomics.

- Thermal Efficiency
The Origin Easifold doors are designed to keep a property warm in the cooler months and cool in the summer months. The doors have a certified U-Value of 1.3W/m2k, surpassing the British Building Regulations by a huge margin. The cleverly designed doors incorporate the most advanced thermal breaks and weather tight seals and the locking mechanisms ensure compression for extra weather resistance.
- Safe and Secure
The bi-fold doors are fitted with a high performance 8-point locking system and conform to the police preferred Secured by Design standards. The locking system incorporates 20mm chamfered linear bolts for smoother operation when engaging the lock and deep throw 25mm security hooks offer the deepest engagement on the market today. Solid cast Yale security handles, high performance fixing bolts and British Standards accredited Magnum security cylinders protect against snapping, picking, drilling and bumping. The unique vertical locking shoot-bolt solution completes the whole locking system.
- Low/Level Threshold
Low/level thresholds remove the boundaries between the outdoors and inside by creating equal floor finishes internally and externally. There are two options available; weathered and non-weathered. Low/level thresholds are particularly safe as they remove the trip hazard and are ideal for disabled access.
- Finger Safe
The Easifold door incorporates a bespoke finger safe gasket between each door leaf which ensures that when fully open and folded there are no gaps for fingers to get trapped in. The lead door features a magnetic stay which holds the door in place, preventing it from slamming shut due to a gust of wind.
- Corner Fold Door Sets
For rooms with an unusual layout, there are a range of bespoke configurations options available. Easifold door configuration designs are virtually endless and options include corner set doors with a 90 degree angle or even a bay set at a 135 degree angle.
- Configuration Options
The bi-fold doors are available in configurations options ranging from a single door to eight doors for apertures of 400mm to 9600mm. The doors can all open to either the left or the right or split to open in two directions and feature a lead door at any point in the configuration. Other options include corner bi-fold doors and bay bi-fold doors. The maximum overall height of the doors is 2500mm which includes the frame.
