As a sole trader the company slowly expanded over the years, and our staff now consists of managing director Andrew Davey, his two sons who have recently become directors, and two other electricians, a secretary, with Andrew's wife helping with administration. Although Andrew Davey is the MD he still enjoys using the tools and is not afraid to get his hands dirty!
We have recently completed a refurb on an old barn to convert into our offices and stores to make the running of the business more efficient and leave room for expansion.
We carry out all types of electrical installations, both large and small contracts. We have completed contracts up to £130,000. Our customers include the National Trust, Cornwall Council, The Duchy of Cornwall, many local building contractors large and small, local farmers, schools and private customers.

What is Solar PV?
Solar electricity systems capture the sun’s energy using photovoltaic (PV) cells. The cells convert the sunlight into electricity which can be used to run household appliances and lighting
With the new Government ''Feed in Tariffs'', not only do you get paid for the electricity that you generate but you also get paid twice! How would you like to start charging your electricity provider instead of them sending you bills?

FREE MONEY FROM THE GOVERNMENT
There are THREE ways in which you can save and earn with the new Government Backed Feed-In Tariffs (FITS) or Clean Energy Cash Back scheme, which started on 1st April 2010:
- Guaranteed payment for EVERY unit of electricity the PV panels generate. Tariffs start at 41.3p per kWh (unit).
- Reduce your existing electricity bills (as you are no longer using as much electricity from the National Grid) saving you around 12p per unit.
- If any electricity you generate is left over after your own consumption, you can EXPORT this power for an additional 3p+ per KWh.
For a 2kWh rated Solar PV system consisting of 12 panels, this could mean savings and cash back of around £900 per year, guaranteed by the Government for 25 years!
GUARANTEED RETURNS
We know this sounds too good to be true but the Government have had to introduce these new measures in order to attract large numbers of people across the country to install their own generating capacity and help them meet their climate change targets. Remember these payments are Government guaranteed for the next 25 years. Where else would you get cast iron guarantees like this?
All the payments you receive for the electricity you generate are Government guaranteed for 25 years so you can sit back and relax, especially as your savings increase with electricity price increases in future years.
