They are involved from the planning and design through to implementation of gardens and landscapes. Work varies in scale from small private gardens to large commercial landscape architecture projects.
John Cutts, the principle garden designer and landscape architect, says: ''Both private gardens and larger scale landscapes require careful planning from design to completion of designs to meet the client’s design requirements and budgets. As garden designers and landscape architects, Landscape by Design are able to combine these aspects into every garden design and landscape design project''.
Landscape By Design is a member of the Landscape Institute and John Cutts (MLI), the principle Landscape Architect, is also a member of the Society of Garden Designers (MSGD).
Background
Landscape By Design Ltd was established in 1997. It is based in the ‘creative village’ of Moseley, Birmingham and is a member of the local Creative Arts Forum.
Portfolio
Landscape By Design has worked on a diverse range of projects including: private gardens, public parks, urban spaces, law courts, supermarkets, headquarters, hotels and all forms of commercial landscaping. Clients are from both private and public sectors and the projects have varied from simple planting plans to bespoke hard landscaping and public art.
Philosophy
The essence of any scheme, regardless of scale, originates from the basic values of strong and simple design ideas, built upon the foundation of sustainability. Landscape designs should always be adapted to the context in which they are located and create a distinctive atmosphere or ''spirit of place''.
