NOTE: Tiles are available in 400mm x 400mm sizes and come in boxes of 10, 1 tub of adhesive will typically install 10 tiles.
Product performance and test data
Visul’s surface mounted tactile paving has been extensively tested to improve performance.
Testing has been carried out under controlled conditions at Visul Systems fully equipped laboratory and independently verified during numerous schemes worldwide.
• Tests conducted at the Transport Research Laboratory on product conditioned at 40ºC found no measurable loss in height at the end of a scuffing test.
• Fulfilled the required criteria to pass surface spread of flame tests (required for underground stations).
• Surface skid resistance at 61, well within preferred range set by the Joint Mobility Unit.
• Building and Investigation Testing Service (Redhill) conducted a comparative wear test against a concrete blister tactile slab and found the system has a wear resistance 7 times greater than the concrete equivalent.
