Since becoming established in 2000, MATT about WOOD has supplied top quality Wood Turnings, Joinery, and Furniture to commercial, industrial and private customers up and down the country.
MATT about WOOD specializes in the production of high quality, bespoke, hardwood furniture and turned pieces, either as one-off pieces, or small batch runs. Almost any item of furniture, humanly conceivable, whether it be for your home or business, can be designed and hand crafted to your own unique specification, in any timber you desire. At Matt about Wood most of the furniture made, is designed and hand-crafted on a commission basis. This means that you get exactly what you want, Craftsman made, to the highest standards with the finest materials available.
Past projects have included an 'occasional' table made from American White Oak, with details in Vambona. This table was made as a display piece. (See below)
As Cabinetmaking and Woodturning specialists, MATT about WOOD are able to supply individual components, hand crafted, for any woodworker; professional or hobbyist. Included in this service, is advice on choosing and fitting the parts most suited to your needs. MATT about WOOD offer a machining service of timber up to 180mm in width, to any size of timber down to 3mm in thickness. We can machine your timber to any size you wish, or we can supply the timber for you. Although we do not keep a lot of stock, most timbers, native or exotic, can be obtained for you, sawn, planed, cut into bowl blanks...
