"Topography" - the arrangement of the natural and atificial features physical features of an area.
Greenhatch Group have 30+ years experience in carrying out all forms of topographical surveys utilitising modern Total Station Theodolites, Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and its experienced Land Surveyors. The company has 30+ land surveyors undertaking projects all over the UK and Europe with experience of working further afield such as the Caribbean and the Middle East.
Greenhatch Group understand that sites can come in all shapes and sizes and the company always responds to projects no matter the size, large or small. We constantly provide topographical surveys on sites ranging from single building plots to multi-acre development sites, from farm tracks to motorways and small domestic gardens to National Parks.
Measured Building Surveys
The Building survey division within Greenhatch Group undertake measured surveys on all types of structures and properties.
There are approximately 30 building surveyors employed within this division and all our senior surveyors have gained their experience and knowledge of contruction methods and buildings from either working previously for Architects and other similar consultants, or completing University courses that are relative to the building and heritage industry. This experience and knowledge help us to understand the construction methods and make-up of the building, which we trust are reflected in our final drawings and therefore meet our clients expectations.
Surveys are undertaken using the latest equipment which are similar to the other divisions within the group and consist of the latest total station laser theodolites, GPS systems, and hand held measuring equipment.
3D Laser Scanning
The Greenhatch Group have over 7 years’ experience within the field of 3D Laser Scanning, being one of the first surveying practices in the U.K. to purchase and utilise the original and ground-breaking Cyrax laser scanning system.
By being part of the early processing techniques for laser scanning technology, we have gained invaluable experience and insight into the correct procedures and methodology required to provide comprehensive and more importantly inherently accurate laser scanning point cloud data.
As an example of our credentials, the Greenhatch Group is proud to have been selected by English Heritage some 5 years ago to provide Metric Services using Laser Scanning technologies and within the last 2 years we have also provided similar services for the Sister organisation, Historic Scotland.
Engineering Surveys
The engineering department consists of 3 senior engineers and 3 assistants. We make full use of the Leica TPS 1200+ theodolites, from the robotic function to real time 3D setting out.
We specialise in following our topographic survey crews onto a new build and setting up primary control and setting out primary gridlines. Our services also run day to day setting out and as-built checks. We also have the facility to undertake monitoring projects for settlement/movement and past jobs include precise levelling of sections of the M1 and M6 motorways.
Underground Utility Surveys
A premier service provider within the highly specialised utility detection, asset mapping, site investigation and survey industry, Greenhatch Group Limited employ the services of fully trained industry experienced surveyors, the latest electromagnetic, ground probing radar equipment, remote inspection equipment and proven techniques to detect and map underground services to a high degree of accuracy across a wide range of environments; including industrial, commercial, brown field and regeneration sites, urban and city center locations.
We understand that knowing the identification, accurate location and depths of existing buried utilities is of paramount importance to those engaged in feasibility studies, design, construction and maintenance of assets. An experienced specialist we remove the uncertainty associated with reliance on old, incomplete, unclear or unavailable record information.
