Our office and showroom acts as a central base and point of contact for our customers. We believe having this established office on the High Street can only give the consumer confidence in what can be a trade infested by rogues and con-men.
With our yard and workshops a couple of miles away, near the main industrial estates, the salvage subsidies the shop so our operating costs are kept low. We are proud of our independent status and our understanding of the public needs. We carry out all forms of traditional and modern roof tiling and slating contracts.
Our in-house carpentry division carry out traditional and modern roof framing, loft conversions and associated works. Our lead workers carry out all forms of leadwork from basic flashings and cladding together with lead welding and casting. We cast and distribute lead motifs, letters and numbers.
REFURBISHMENT
At Roofmasters & Co, our core business is strip and re-tile and re-slating domestic properties. We pride ourselves in maintaining a high level of service, never forgetting it’s your home. We cover everything from keeping the site tidy to coordinating plant and materials in order to avoid cluttering up the work site. With daily removal of debris to our works depot or onsite containers, we aim to keep the process as pleasant as possible. We are licensed to carry waste by KCC. Even while your roof is only covered by a quality underlay and battens, it is still possible to keep your home watertight. From a mid-terraced Victorian house of 65m2 to a Grade II mansion of over 1250m2 we have the flexibility of using a pair of tilers to a gang of 14 with our associated family members in Croydon and Eastbourne.
LEADWORK
At Roofmasters & Co, we carry out all forms of leadwork from basic flashings and weatherings to lead cladding, together with lead welding and casting. We supply from specification pre-formed flashings and weathering via our shop.
We cast and distribute lead motifs of over 25 designs, also numbers and letters. We can cast or form lead hoppers from plans or copies.
CARPENTRY
Our in-house carpentry division can carry out all forms of structural timber works such as traditional cut and pitch roof framing and truss roof construction, together with installation of steel beams using our road legal telehandler. We fabricate roof kits at our workshop for flat to pitched conversions and D.I.Y. self-assembly. We also carry out structural loft conversions and roof gardens and install Velux and other makes of rooflights, including sunlights/tubes. Scaled down roof structure can be viewed at our
Southborough showroom.
uPVC
We are installers of uPVC products from complete renewal of fascia soffit and guttering to uPVC cladding, supply and fitting of GRP canopies and columns - not just in white, but also laminated black ash and various wood grain colours. Powder coated aluminum car ports, patio covers and bespoke covered walkways are also available. Guttering in uPVC cast iron, plain or coloured aluminum and large stocks of salvaged cast iron are always in stock.
NEW BUILD
At Roofmasters & Co we are used to new build projects and are contractors for quality developers who appreciate a high standard of works. We have our own range of tile hoists like the reliable Bumpa from Mace Industries, together with a road legal telescopic fork lift for use on tile pallets, roof trusses and loft conversion steel works. Investment in such plant ensures compliance with health and safety legislation and a more efficient work rate. We have within the family tilers who used to carry the loads of their heads - a process known as 'nutting them up'. With a large number of self-builders who purchase the materials from our shop, customers can also benefit from our vast experience in one-off developments and labour-only contracts. We offer set prices for new works for different materials.
