As a family run business we have been supplying the trade with turned wood products since 1830. We supply companies nationwide and distribute from our factory in Forest Gate in the heart of East London. Orders over £150 are delivered free within the M25 for trade customers.
Square Turnings
Brettells have been producing special square turned posts and spindles in London's East End for over a hundred years. These turnings are usually found in grand houses in the major cities of London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester and Newcastle.
Staircases
At Brettells we offer a wide variety of spindle designs for our staircases. These are complemented by similar designs of newel posts and caps. Newels posts are turned solid or in two parts for easy assembly. They all come in a range of sizes and timbers. All softwood used in stairparts production is certified PEFC.
Specials
At Brettells we offer a copying service to match the spindles, newels or moulding of your original staircase whether they are round, square or with carving and fretwork.
Special square turnings are a specialty of the company. These are a few examples of the many hundreds of patterns of square turnings that we have produced over the years.
These square turnings can be produced in hard wood for an excellent painted finish or pine for staining and polishing.
