Mr Blackwell has had a long career starting in the Royal Navy as a Marine Engineer, where an interest in refrigeration was started. After leaving the Royal Navy he joined the Merchant Navy. On leaving the Merchant Navy, he joined Carter Refrigeration. A Birmingham based company, where he went through the college system whilst out on the road as a service and installation engineer. With experience working on Sainsbury stores and International Stores, later to be known as Gateways. He stayed with Carter Refrigeration for 5 years.
On leaving Carter Refrigeration, he went to Northampton Refrigeration as a Supervisor working on Tesco sites and Gateway sites, he stayed here for 5 more years. He then went to Kenyon Refrigeration as Branch Manager for 3 years before returning to Carter Refrigeration as a field Service Manager looking after the Safeway and Waitrose Accounts.
ARAC Ltd can supply and install all makes of condensing units from small single phase 1/8 HP to 40Hp 3 phase part wind or star delta start. Reciprocating, Scroll, Screw, or Rotary. Single compressor systems or package systems.
Installation and servicing of all types of water chillers from process machines to air handling machines is available.
Other Services
ARAC Ltd can and has the capability to carry out any fabric repairs required to cold stores. From replacing those damaged doors, or handles to replacing complete walls. All carried out by skilled engineers and carrying a warranty.
ARAC Ltd can carry out any electrical works and always use our own engineers - not sub-contractors. Engineers are qualified to 17th Edition Standard. BS7671. ARAC Ltd are also qualified to carry out PAT testing (Portable Appliance Test).
Refrigeration
ARAC Ltd specialise in the design, installation, service and maintenance of refrigerated coldstores and cabinets. Our cold stores range from small reach in stores from modular panels, to large bespoke stores that are installed in warehouses. The rooms can be designed to operate in all temperature ranges from +26*c for Banana ripening rooms to 0*c - + 4*c for fresh meat and Dairy storage, right down to -30*c for either frozen storage or blast freezing.
Cabinets can be supplied and installed either as remote systems or integral.
The cabinets we supply are available as either hot or cold cabinets, serve over cabinets, bottle cabinets, ice makers or service cabinets in the kitchens.
All makes of cabinets are obtainable subject to the manufactures availability.
Also available are all types of quality refurbished, and B grade cabinets.
Air Conditioning
ARAC Ltd are able to design, install, service and maintain air-conditioning systems.
Both split systems and VRF systems, in Restaurants, Offices, Commercial and domestic premises are available.
