Because we deal direct with quarries from around the world we can keep our prices competitive, this also means that we can offer a sourcing service. Therefore if you have any special requirements please do not hesitate in contacting the showroom where we will be happy to provide you with a quote.
As we are passionate about the quality of our stone we only recommend and stock the best fixing and finishing products, namely Norcros Building Adhesives, Durabase and Fila Industria Chimica SpA, this also extends the technical advice available.

Hard Rock Flooring pride themselves in offering a tailored personal service to all customers, private and commercial. Iain Marfleet, the founder, created his business over 15 years ago. He has instilled in the company, his passion for offering customers only the very best quality stone combined with the very best customer service. Iain personally sources and searches out quarries from around the world, many of which produce unusual and unique stone. Small independent quarries hidden deep in the countryside have been persuaded to part with their well kept secrets, ensuring that Hard Rock Flooring customers benefit from some very rare finds. Many customers return time and again knowing they will be afforded the same special treatment that only real enthusiasts with real knowledge can provide.

Natural stone is a geological wonder. The richness in the variety of colours and the markings are a sight to behold. No one stone is the same, when you buy stone for your home you are buying a piece of history.

One of most unusual qualities of natural stone is its flexibility in uses, from floors to patios, driveways to hallways, courtyards to bathrooms, the list is endless. Finishes
We are happy to give advice on the finishes most suitable to each stone according to your individual requirements.
ANTIQUED A newly quarried stone that has been fettled to produce an antique finish.
BUSH HAMMERED Stone textured by rotating small hammers.
FLAMED Stone that has been subjected to heat to produce a rough texture, ideally suited for non slip areas.
HAND FINISHED Usually made by machine and finally worked by hand.
HANDMADE Entirely hand formed by local craftsmen.
HONED Machined or hand worked to give a smooth finish.
POLISHED Stone machined or hand worked to produce a polished surface.
RIVEN A textured surface due to the material being hand split.
TUMBLED Mainly used for marble, takes off hard edges of cobbles.
