James Upfold, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building since 1992, has enjoyed a long career successfully project-managing multi million pound construction projects. The most challenging James undertook was the British Airways London Eye.
Roy Axtell and Andrew Axtell have grown the Axtell group of companies since 1988 offering plant hire, aggregate, ready mixed concrete and haulage supplies to the majority of building projects in Surrey and surrounding areas. Surrey Drives and Courtyards, is part of the Axtell Group, which undertake domestic and commercial driveways, roads and courtyard projects.
The director's combined experience of over 60 years in the construction industry gives Surrey Oak Barns the ability to deliver Project Management and Craftsmanship to the highest standards you should expect, and at an affordable price.
Design
Surrey Oak Barns offer conceptual design advice at the early stage of your project to ensure the initial brief can be met and developed, ensuring the optimum solution is reached in design, location and budget considerations.
Once the conceptual design is agreed we will develop the architectural drawings for the chosen scheme showing the barn in plan, section and elevation. We also produce a series of detailed drawings showing the foundation design, brickwork plan, oak frame plan and roof layout plan.
Should external hard landscaping or driveways be required as part of the total scheme then we can also assist in the conceptual development of these elements of the works.
With our bespoke buildings the options are endless. We can design and construct a barn of any shape and size.
Provided we are aware at the design stage, all of our barns can be engineered to incorporate an upper floor and be fitted-out as habitable accommodation, either as part of the initial build or converted at a later date.
We have included a number of images which demonstrate some of the options, available to our clients which make our designs unique.
Surrey Oak Barns scope of design services has no limits. To complement our housing projects we offer a full interior design and product specification / selection service which includes but is not limited to electrical, lighting, heating, plumbing, kitchen, bathroom, floor and wall finish design.
