Frimstone Ltd. (formerly part of the Dickerson Group), was formed in 1974, primarily serving the Norfolk carstone trade. Frimstone has 8 sites across Norfolk offering sand, gravel and carstone, recycling of construction and demolition wastes, and inert tipping facilities.

On 1st January 1995 Frimstone Ltd. was granted a Royal Warrant for the supply of crushed and graded aggregates to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at The Sandringham Estate in north Norfolk.

Aggregate Extraction and Supply
Frimstone operates 7 quarries across Norfolk and an aggregates and recycling yard at Wisbech in Cambridgeshire. The main sites include sand and gravel quarries at Crimplesham, Carbrooke, Feltwell and Mayton Wood and a carrstone quarry at Snettisham. Here customers can pick up a range of different materials including carrstone, sands and gravels, etc. Frimstone also offers a delivery service for all its materials in loads of up to 28 tonnes.

Carrstone is a sandstone containing a high percentage of iron ore. Frimstone’s site at Snettisham has an exceptionally high ore content and is the only quarry in the country producing carstone suitable for building stone.

Recycled Materials
Frimstone has a strong recycling ethos and any materials entering their site are primarily assessed with a view to recycling the material and selling it back to the market place. Frimstone is one of the largest recyclers of construction and demolition waste in East Anglia, recycling quantities in excess of 100,000 tonnes per annum.

Construction and demolition material such as concrete, bricks and soils are screened and crushed to produce quality recycled materials. Customers can collect or have delivered a range of different materials including hardcore, road planings, top soils etc.

Earth Moving, Plant Hire and Bulk Haulage
Frimstone operates an extensive fleet of modern plant including tracked concrete crushers, 360° excavators, traxcavators, screens, 25 –30 tonne articulated dump trucks, loading shovels and a large fleet of heavy goods vehicles. All our operators are experienced, fully trained and C.I.T.B registered.

Using our large fleet of tippers, delivering loads of up to 28 tonnes, coupled with our Plant Hire Department we are able to provide a comprehensive package for all bulk haulage needs.

We operate inert landfill sites and are therefore able to offer very competitive disposal rates and will quote for any contract requirements.

We deliver aggregate materials from 1m3 to any specified requirement.

Site Clearance & Restoration
Frimstone Ltd. has always provided a service to clear and restore redundant or despoiled sites. Buildings and structures can be removed and the materials processed and reused on site or sold as a recycled material. Frimstone has taken up and recycled most of East Anglia’s airfields since the 1970s with much of the residue being recycled and used in Norfolk’s highways and building development projects.

Soils can be utilised on site for restoration works or, where necessary, can be imported and engineered to restore areas back to agricultural or amenity use.
