Paint Solutions
Specifiers and contractors have struggled for years to achieve a successful method of painting galvanized steelwork. All too often their best efforts have resulted in disappointment as the paint peels or flakes off within a short period of time. Etch primers or sweep blasting can be used and once applied correctly both systems will work very well. However, they can prove costly in time, labour and materials.
In order to overcome these difficulties Galco Steel Ltd. offer a one-coat application: Galvacoat. This is a two pack polyurethane top coat specifically formulated to adhere to non-ferrous metals such as zinc. It has excellent performance characteristics including UV protection and anti-graffiti properties. Tough and durable, it provides the perfect finish for your steelwork. Galvacoat is readily available in all RAL and BS colours and can be applied on site by spraying or brushing as is appropriate.
Access Covers & Drainage Systems
Galco are a leading provider of surface water management solutions for modern urban landscapes. We offer drainage solutions that include access covers, recessed paving covers, channel drainage, high capacity channels and a range of infiltration/ attenuation systems. We specialise in providing technical advice including hydraulic calculations and design service.
New range of Ductile Iron Covers
Galco are proud to introduce our new range of Ductile Iron Covers to the Irish market.
Road improvement and investment in transport infrastructure are currently major issues that effect both public and private projects. As a result this new range of varying sizes and load classes enable specifiers and designers to accurately supply the right product for the right project.
In order to facilitate specifiers, Galco have developed a complete design service which only requires the completion of a standard form detailing the following specific site information:
- drainage area/ site drawings
- surface types
- gradients
- soil type
- geographical location
- inflow requirements
- outflow requirements / restrictions
- load classification
To supplement our design service, Galco provide in-house presentations on the innovations in surface water drainage and attenuation / infiltration systems
From this information Galco will provide a detailed site layout and CAD drawings, along with all the necessary hydraulic calculations and data sheets as well as full specification details and costing.
