Rainharvesting Systems has been designing rainwater recycling systems since 1994. We began as part of the Green Shop until, in 2001 we became a company solely focused on rainwater collection and re-use. As well as developing rainwater harvesting technology and the UK rainwater harvesting market, we have successfully designed, specified and supplied countless, trouble free rainwater harvesting systems.
We have developed solutions to suit many situations, from DIY garden sheds to large factories.
The concept is simple - A rainwater filter is fitted to a downpipe or underground drainage pipe to collect water whilst discarding leaves and other debris.
The clean water is stored in a tank and then pumped on demand to dedicated supply points like toilet cisterns, washing machines, garden taps or utility rooms.
Whilst the concept is simple, installing reliable systems which give years of trouble free service requires careful design.
With water prices set to increase and water companies imposing hose-pipe bans, now is the time to consider rainwater harvesting. A domestic system could provide up to half your total water consumption.
