J & W McCall Supplies N.I. Ltd
R. J. McCALL & Sons have been associated with quality in the building industry for almost fifty years. Established in 1957, R. J. McCALL & Sons started business as building contractors and joinery manufacturers. In1976 the firm moved to a new six acre green field site and built custom designed tores which now comprise 50,000 sq ft.
A tile warehouse and extensive showroom were also developed in the village of Clough. The group employees over seventy people but despite its rapid expansion, still remains a family owned business.
McCall Supplies
Since its early origins in contracting J & W McCall Supplies N.I. Ltd has developed into an effective producer of sawn and moulded timber sections and supplier of quality building products.
McCalls can be considered to be one of the five major players in the Northern Ireland timber supplies market. The company’s timber division has a state of the art sawmill producing a range of finished products principally for the construction industry. The company has built its reputation on quality timber products using kiln dried Scandinavian timber.
J & W McCall Supplies N.I Ltd has been associated with quality in the building industry for almost fifty years. When first started in 1957, R J McCall & Sons restricted its operations to the mid-Down area. Today the firm’s fleet of lorries deliver both sawn and moulded timber along with ceramic tiles and building materials throughout the province. The company’s range of timber and general building supply products is extensive. All types of timber mouldings, in hardwood and redwood are stocked and produced on site.
Redwood and Whitewood are imported form Scandinavia and Russia for machine mouldings while kiln dried whitewood form Scandinavia & the Baltic’s is imported for structural use.
Large quantities of African and American hardwoods are also stocked in both sawn and machine goods. An extensive range of sheet materials are also stocked.
J & W McCall Supplies N.I Ltd are also one of the provinces leading suppliers of ceramic tiles, slate, bathrooms and flooring. Premises at Dundrum Road in Clough have been transformed into what is arguably one of the finest showrooms in the country. Tiles are imported form Italy, Spain, Portugal and slate form China and South Africa. The company holds the sole agency for Versace Tiles in the province and are complemented by bathroom suites from Jacuzzi and Villeroy & Boch. McCalls also supply a unique under floor heating system called De-vi heat with sole rights for distributorship in Northern Ireland. The increased popularity of the ceramic floor and wall tile showroom in Clough, has created the need for other tile outlets.
