Since 1963 the company has been producing an extensive range of high performance, technologically advanced coatings and membranes for the protection and waterproofing of roofs, walls, and balconies and for hygiene control. Roofing
At Liquid Plastics we are renowned for our seamless roofing membranes, which are liquid applied to provide waterproof protection. They are elastomeric, highly durable and previous applications include schools, universities and even Ministry of Defence buildings. In 2004 we launched our Cold Fusion Bonded Built-Up Roofing System. This is a completely cold applied system that utilises zero flame, zero heat technology in the form of the revolutionary cold fusion adhesive – Decostik®. Also available is a seamless system for inverted roofs, which offers many advantages over traditional systems because of its seamless protection and cold application and green roofs, which have many economic and environmental benefits. Some of these benefits include aiding noise reduction, improving the thermal performance of a building and absorbing CO2.
Walls
Central to our range of high performance structural coatings is a selection of weatherproof coatings for walls. They are unequalled by conventional paints because of their exceptionally long life spans and ability to withstand harsh weather conditions including prolonged UV exposure and temperatures as cold as minus 10°C. Testament to the products’ effectiveness is the fact that they have been used to complement the natural character of many buildings of historical importance throughout the world.
Hygiene
For many years Liquid Plastics has been a leader in the field of specialist coatings for hygiene sensitive environments, including healthcare establishments, food and drink production facilities and pharmaceutical plants. Each product has an inherent ingredient that protects against the growth of harmful micro-organisms and can aid the battle against potentially lethal infections such as MRSA.
Balconies
Balconies and walkways are also exposed to the elements, which can lead to damage and degradation. The solution is Liquid Plastics’ functional and decorative waterproofing for balconies, a high performance system that comes with a range of attractive, skid inhibiting finishing options. Easily applied, the system cures quickly to provide effective, highly durable protection.
