Two types of rollers are produced:
- Caterpillar action rollers, having a series of hardened steel rollers. Supplied in various designs and capacities to move unlimited weights.
- Multi-Roller nylon wheeled type, having multiple nylon wheels especially for the easy movement of loads on high quality floors, without the risk of floor damage.
Dorvic also produce other complimentary lifting and moving products.
- The Dorvic 5 tonne capacity Ratchet Toe Jack is a widely used tool for the lifting of loads prior to movement on skates.
- The Dorvic Roller Crowbar is also a useful item for the lifting and positioning of small items in the workshop/warehouse.

 | Multi-Roller Skates
Dorvic is the principal producer of load moving skates in the UK.
Multi-Roller Skates are produced in sets to carry loads from just a few hundred kilos to 80,000 kgs.
Supplied with either nylon, polyurethane or steel wheels dependent on operating floor conditions.
The modern way to move all types of heavy loads around the factory. As used by professional moving companies.
Standard set comprises of large steerable skate with handle and 2 rear skates with spacer bar. Can be used as a 4 point system by using extra steering unit. |
 | Heavy Duty Skates
Dorvic caterpillar action skates operate by the action of an endless roller chain revolving around the centre member of the body, this allows very large weights to be supported and moved. This principle provides an extremely low coeffiecient of friction, usually between around 3% to 7% of total load.
Supplied in various designs and capacities. Models from 15 tonnes to 400 tonnes per skate. Can be used in multiples, either normally in the chain downward position or inverted to act as a skid bank. These heavy duty skates can also be supplied with side guide rollers for running along tracks. (Details on request.) |
