Take for example the M-Cut Universal Screw. It fixes directly into concrete, brickwork, blockwork, chipboard and timber without the need for pre-marking and pre-drilling for a larger diameter plastic plug. Just drill into the substrate through the fixture, drive home a screw and then repeat for the other fixing points with the fixture already held in place. Just drill and screw – job done!
Or the M-Cut Resin Anchor Screw that creates undercuts in the material to give a positive mechanical interlock in addition to the resin binding. What's more, there is virtually no creep, so there is no need to return in 24 hours to check the torque. Time and money saved again!

The M-Cut Universal Screw saves time and money because you can use it in concrete, blockwork and brickwork as well as in chipboard and timber without any need for nylon or plastic plugs. What's more, you can drill and screw straight through the fixture, eliminating pre-marking and pre-drilling of the holes.Just drill and screw – job done!
How is this achieved?
The secret lies in the unique patented design of the screw's 3 high pitch helical threads. These cut into the edges of the hole in the material, giving a positive mechanical interlock (undercut ) between the screw and the substrate. No longer do you need to rely on the frictional resistance of a nylon plug; the screw has cut grooves in the concrete, blockwork or brickwork, just as it does in wood. It's like a bolt in a nut.
The screw would have to unwind to come out or else the ultimate load for either the screw or the base material be exceeded.
Save time and money!
The M-Cut Universal Screw is therefore much quicker to use. You can drill the hole through the fixture as you don't need a large hole for a nylon plug, Drive in one screw straight away, and then let that hold the fixture in place while you drill the other holes through the fixture and drive home the remaining screws. This way one person can install fixings that would normally take two, as you don't need another pair of hands to hold the fixture in place while you pre-mark the holes – no premarking is required!

The M-Cut Female Undercut Anchor is a real time-saver for many installations, securing high loads on shallow embedment – as little as 30mm (1.5 ins).

How is this achieved?
The M-Cut Female Undercut Anchor can be installed in 4 easy steps:
- Tap the unexpanded anchor into the drilled hole – it will hold in position.
- Turn the setting tool fully to expand the undercut sleeve – there's no need for a torque wrench to guarantee the expansion
- On full setting a coloured washer transfers from the setting tool to the anchor, showing it has been set
- Unscrew the setting tool – a female thread support is now ready to use
Embedment sizes available are 30mm, 60mm and 90mm with washers colour coded for each size. |  |
