- A Smart Meter is an advanced meter that automatically records a business’ electricity consumption in much greater detail than a conventional meter. Smart Metering technology to enable our customers to monitor and reduce their energy expenditure – the Carbon Trust report that an average business can reduce it’s consumption by 12.5%.
- You won’t have to remember to take monthly meter readings or arrange for a representative to take one. You will receive accurate monthly billing data with no estimates enabling improved forecasting and budgeting.

At Opus Energy, we prefer a simpler approach: we endeavour to secure as much of our power as possible from cleaner electricity sources – for all our customers. Last year, between April 2006 and March 2007, 51% of the energy supplied by Opus Energy to its customers came from cleaner, low-carbon sources – 38% from renewable generators and 13% from cleaner CHP plants.
