Data centres, Server Rooms, internet hosting and other business critical electronic environments run 365 days, or 8760 hours, a year. Densely packed server racks generate ever increasing computing power, which is almost completely converted into heat. The availability of business critical IT equipment, such as servers, depends on the continuous operation of high efficiency cooling systems to remove the heat load 24/7. The more efficient this cooling, the less electricity the data centre consumes. Stulz has designed and manufactures a flexible range of high quality, powerful, cooling products specifically designed to meet this demand.
Close control air conditioning systems maintain the ideal room temperature and humidity conditions for your sensitive server rooms. Cold supply air is generally conveyed to the data centre via the raised floor, and the heated air returns to the downflow unit. Today, due to ever increasing heat loads, this process basically takes place via a network of hot and cold aisles. Where high density heat loads are present, direct server rack cooling can be applied to supplement the traditional downflow units.
Modern precision air conditioning systems with energy efficient free cooling technology also make use of cool outside air for air conditioning. They grow in a modular fashion, and cut your data centre’s electricity consumption by up to 60 %. Designed for failure-free, continuous operation over many years, they work away quietly, reliably and exceptionally economically to keep your servers available at all times.
STULZ CyberAir - Close Control Air Conditioning
Known as CRAC units, Sensible Coolers or Packaged units, they are available in downflow or upflow configurations and in chilled water, DX air-cooled, DX water-cooled and glycol free-cooling designs. With the arrival of blade server technology, and consequent high density heat loads, Stulz introduced the ‘CyberAir’ close control air conditioning unit range. The small footprint design incorporates ultra low energy EC fans with ‘inverter’ speed control technology offering high capacity output and precise airflow regulation.
STULZ CyberRow - Extreme Heat Management System
CyberRow is an advanced precision A/C unit, which is tailormade for the targeted cooling of racks. In the CyberRow, innovative air conduction has been enhanced by state-of-the-art technology, which enhances the performance, flexibility and efficiency. Fluctuating server rack loads, space restrictions, lack of a raised floor, existing server technology - these are some of the tricky situations in everyday practice that the CyberRow has been specially developed to deal with.
CyberRow is a standalone A/C unit and is installed and operated independently from the rack. This complete separation of the rack and the A/C unit increases reliability and provides greater freedom for designing the layout in the data centre.
STULZ CyberCool - Reliable and cost-effective cooling with water
Water conveys heat 3500 times better than air and the CyberCool Chiller product line was developed for maximum reliability in data centres where water cooling is the preffered method of heat removal. All chiller formats are available including internal and external options up to 1.5 MWatts. Selected to match the local ambient temperature profile and with maximum efficiency operating 24/7, 365 days a year with free-cooling where appropriate.
