Natural Roofing Slate
Natural slate is widely thought of as being the best roofing material, not only is it natural but also practical as it is easily split to form individual slates.
When on the roof natural slates need no maintenance. Being a natural material, each slate has its own characteristics. The colour of the slate is determined by the mineral and chemical composition of each quarry which is why natural slates are available in a wide range of shades and colours.

All slates are stringently checked by Bellvue UK staff based at the quarries ensuring that they meet the requirements of BS EN 12326-1:2004.
Bellvue UK natural slates are exceptionally durable, unaffected by
extremes of temperature and are highly resistant to acids, alkalis and other chemicals. The slates are impermeable to water and are free from oxidising metal sulphides. They are smooth, longitudinally fine grained and are securely packed in robust crates.
The Bellvue UK Imperial Black is guaranteed for 30 years.
