The group provides products and services throughout the UK and Ireland to over 26,000 clients.
In Janaury 2008 the group acquired the stock, goodwill, assets, Intellectual Property Rights of EPS UK Ltd, HWA Ltd, Impact Decor Direct Ltd, Slater Developments Ltd and OBAS DPM Ltd which had formerly been trading for 10 years with a combined annual turnover of £10m.
An incredible amount has been achieved in 2008, the year will remain in history as one of the most testing times for businesses throughout the World. The OBAS group have shown their determination, strength and commitment by continuing to build a formidable and highly respected company, providing a much needed range of products and services at a time when many impressive businesses are failing.
A variety of awards have been won by the company and its management team, the group is well on it way to achieving Investors in People and ISO accreditation.
Plumbing
The foundations of the group were based upon supplying products to the plumbing trade, over recent years the plumbing section has lost its focus but the group is pleased to confirm that this has now been addressed and there is a real drive to rebuild this part of the business. |  |
Building
The building division is a core part of OBAS UK Ltd, with a huge range of products stocked within their warehouses ready for next day delivery.
The in-house building sales team have extensive knowledge of the building industry and have actual hands on experience in using most of the products supplied. With an impressive in house training department and knowledgeable staff the company is able to supply solutions and products to meet the most demanding of requirements and timescales. |  |
Decorating
Incredibly the decorating part of the business has been traditionally the poor relation, there was historically little effort or emphasis placed on building this area and as such many of the clients are not aware of the products available to them.
The variety of products and level of stock would surprise you, many of the products are branded as IDD as a result of the groups acquisition in january 2008 and as stocks are replaced these will be rebranded as OBAS. |  |
Safety & PPE
Safety and PPE is an incredibly complex and important area, the team spend significant time and resources keeping abreast of legislation and ensuring that they are able to provide the best advice and products to protect their clients and staff.
A wide range of safety equipment is stocked within the warehouse facility, strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers are maintained to ensure that they are able to react quickly to any request. |  |
Healthcare
A rapidly expanding area of the group which is providing real solutions for many clients throughout the UK which are primarily focused on care facilities and medical organisations such as surgeries, hospitals, SME and corporate's with in house first aid facilities. |  |
Technology
An exciting expansion is planned for April 2009, by providing additional products, facilities and resources to the customer base of the existing OBAS group.
