Case study 1 As Leonard Cheshire were relocating their office from unit 6a to unit 8, we carried out some alterations to unit 8 before they relocated.
This involved: Forming a stud partition wall from one end of the room to the other which would then create two additional offices for storage and office staff. We fitted some additional fire/smoke alarms, along with a complete intruder alarm system. In unit 6a we had to bring the inside back to where it was originally before they moved, this involved disconnecting the power supply and making safe of all electrics.
Contract Type Office Alterations
Case study 2 These works were required by Bournville Village Trust. Our contract was to carry out a complete refurbishment of the property, this comprised a complete electrical rewire, central heating system, new concrete and screeded floors. Plaster was hacked off at a metre high and a chemical damp proof course was injected into the walls.
A half brick wall was taken down between the kitchen and lobby to create a larger kitchen area, a 100mm block wall was taken down between the toilet and bathroom to create one room, with a new bathroom suite, this also achieved a bigger area. Door frames, doors, architraves and skirting were fitted, along with a new kitchen and vinyl floor. The property was plastered throughout and all walls and ceilings were emulsioned.
