In the beginning our core business was roadside repair and servicing, however in recent years we have expanded and now offer a full range of accident recovery, major repairs, servicing and testing.
The newest component of our business is JT Mini Crane Hire – Our growing fleet of Unic mini cranes are incredibly compact that provide the capacity & reach of much larger machines. These cranes are the only solution in areas with restricted access or for confined working spaces.
Mini Crane Hire JT Mini Crane Hire was founded in 2006 when we saw the potential of these versatile little crawler cranes. Ranging from 600mm to 1600mm wide our fleet of mini cranes are the ideal solution for areas where a truck mounted crane just can’t fit. And, navigating easily through a standard or double doorway they can even work inside!
As construction sites get ever tighter for space, utilising the LPG or electric options on our mini cranes take emmisions to a safe level for working in confined areas both inside and out.
With a maximum capacity of 6T these invaluable machines make lifting easy – supplied with an operator or self operated to give you the ultimate flexibility.
Strategically based within 50 miles of the City of London and bordering the East Midlands, where transport links are second to none, JT Mini Crane Hire are perfectly situated to supply mini cranes countrywide to those who have an immediate need for this innovative little crane.
 | Mini Crane Hire
Originally designed to operate on the congested construction sites of Japan, these cranes are incredibly compact yet provide the capacity and reach of much larger machines. Wherever access is restricted or working space is confined, JT Mini Cranes are the only solution.
The smallest machines, URW094 / URW095 / URW295, can fit through a single doorway, and an access the size of a double doorway is all that's needed for a URW376 or URW506. Where space is still an issue but greater lifting capacity is needed our URW706 is the answer. |
 | Repairs and Recovery
We specialise in major repairs, overhauls and rebuilds of all models and manufacturers of mobile cranes such as Terex-Demag, Leibherr, Grove, Coles, Krupp and PPM. We have the facility to completely strip and rebuild cranes that have been damaged as a result of road traffic accidents, falling over, fires or over lifting.
These repairs involve stripping down machines and making good existing parts, fabricating new parts or replacing with new from the manufacturer. We can carry out welding repairs or modifications or may send certain parts – eg slew rings, engines, gearboxes, rams or cylinders – away for specialist refurbishment. |
 | Testing and Test Weight Hire
We carry out F96 testing, which is necessary every four years and provides a record of test, test and examination or test and thorough examination of lifting plant and equipment. We work to the British Standard code of practice for safe use of cranes BS 7121-2:2003.
Testing is carried out at our site at Bourn Airfield, The Broadway, Bourn, Cambridgeshire CB3 7TQ, where we have the capacity to test any size of crane from as small as a 15ton Iron Fairys to a massive 1200ton AK912.
And our work isn’t restricted to mobile cranes – we can also test cherry pickers, lorry platforms, hiabs and work with a local manufacturing company testing lifting eyes. In addition, thanks to our large stock of test weights, we are able to test dock cranes, crawlers and tower cranes on site. |
