AJC Contractors was founded in 1992 and is based at Great Horkesley near Colchester, Essex.
We work for both commercial and domestic customers, and specialise in RC frames, Formworks, Reinforcement and Powerfloating.

We also carry out all types of Groundwork from Paving to major civil engineering works. Many of our contracts are located in and around London, but we're proud to say that we have dozens of satisfied customers throughout the south-east and further afield. We tailor our work to the individual needs of our clients, varying from labour only contracts to supply and fix. We operate to the highest levels of safety and possess an enviable standard of expertise within the industry.
RC FRAMES
AJC will programme the works, to get the optimum sequence and in all projects to date an improved programme to that of the main contractors. We then use the latest systems available to make sure that safety, programme, quality and costs are all achieved. For example we use flying tables, steel column shutters, Peri and Doka wall systems as well as traditional shuttering, depending on the projects requirements.
FORMWORKS
We develop the optimum scheme for the client’s requirements. SGB, Doka, and Peri, are some of the systems we use on slabs, walls and columns.
We can also have made metal shuttering systems for columns and jump wall formwork.
Flying tables and other fast track systems are used wherever possible.
REINFORCEMENT
All of our carpenters, steel fixers, concrete and ground works personnel, have been with us for a number of years. The knowledge and trust between all trades makes our company stand out from the rest.
Our steel fixers can all read the bending schedules and drawings and work in a safe manner as set out in our method statements.
GROUNDWORK
Our ground workers are split into gangs, with an experienced foreman, a digger driver, pipe layer, and labourer. They can all lay concrete, tarmac, block paving, slabs and all aspects of external works.
POWER FLOATING
Our concrete gangs, along with our engineering, produce a high quality finish to slabs.
