- Full analytical support including classical stress analysis and FE, preparation of formal reports and approvals from formal authority (FE systems include Strand7)
- Vibration and fatigue analysis
- Composite bolted joint analysis
- Solid modelling (SolidWorks 2005)
- Full preparation of manufacturing drawings (AutoCAD and SolidWorks)
- Material selection, specification and test of all laminates, resin systems and build process
- Specification and testing of all bonded joints, including adhesive type and procedure
- Development and completion of test regimes (either on site or with subcontractors)
- Full project cost preparation and project management
- Manufacturing support and supervision
- Project QA - set-up of initial requirements and ongoing build monitoring
- Control and supervision of installations
- In-service inspection and survey
In the rapidly developing world of advanced composites ACL works to ensure close working relationships with leading UK raw material suppliers. This has resulted in the involvement with several material development programmes including carbon fibre and low temperature curing resin systems.
