Air Tightness
Air Tightness Tests are sometimes referred to as an Air Pressure Test, Envelope Test or an Air Permeability Test. We are basically testing for the unintentional leakage of air in the building that will cause the heating and / or cooling system in the home to work harder than it needs to, leading to an increased environmental impact.
Sound Testing
We often advise property developers, contractors, housing associations and local authorities on the implications of ADE 2003.
Advice is given on the materials and construction details for separating floors and walls and the key interfaces with other building elements.
SAP / EPC / PEA / SBEM / DEC / HIP
Coming to us for your SAP's and EPC's allows you to have a working partner for all of the required regulations from start to finish. We will be involved from the outset, compiling your Design Stage SAP, PEA and registering your plots.
Code For Sustainable Homes
The Code for Sustainable Homes (C4SH) has recently replaced the Ecohomes scheme as the standard environmental assessment method for new housing within England and Wales.
The Code comprises of 6 levels conveyed in the form of star rating system and measures the performance of a new home against 9 categories of sustainable design. Each level within the code sets a minimum standard for energy and water usage within the property while also requiring an increased reduction of carbon emissions.
