Treadwarm provide a high quality service to all our customers from a 30m2 project to 5000m2. We offer a bespoke or comprehensive package that ranges from the supply and installation of underfloor heating through to the application of anhydrite liquid screed.
Our services include installation of Ground Source Heat Pumps which draw natural heat from the soil and use it to supply our underfloor heating system. Underfloor heating is a very efficient method of warming your house or building and it enables the end user to have complete design freedom of their dwelling when it comes to furnishing. Our liquid screed suppliers range from Lafarge, Tarmac, Hogans and Cemex, this enables us to cover a vast majority of the country. We offer a free, no-obligation quotation service to all our customers and because we are an independent installer, we can work closely with all our clients to specify which manufacturer of pipe fits your criteria.
Established in January 2007, we have seen a massive growth in the demand for underfloor heating and liquid screed and we have grown with it. We are based on the outskirts of Chester and North Wales with excellent motorway links nearby enabling us to dispatch our installers anywhere in the country. Our workload has taken us as far afield as Scotland in the North, and Cornwall to the South.
We work hard to keep our overheads low so that we can offer fantastic discounted prices to our customers, ensuring great service at competitive rates. Our teams, usually consisting of 3 installers, are skilled in delivering work ranging in scale from a simple home extension to a large commercial contract.
Underfloor Heating Why Underfloor Heating? It is invisible and maintenance free without the need for radiators and with no hot surfaces, it makes for a safe environment. Underfloor heating gently warms the air above, the heat is more evenly distributed which avoids cold spots and reduces the amount of dust in the air.
How does it work? Underfloor heating makes it possible to reduce energy consumption as it requires low water temperatures, which in turn reduce running costs. It is suitable for domestic or commercial use and can be linked to any heat source. It is suitable to be installed on solid or timber surfaces.
First Choice In Liquid Screeds Gyvlon floor screeds are pump applied, self-levelling, synthetic anhydrite. Ideal for sub floor levelling, they provide a smooth, flat surface for the application of all floor finishes.
Suitable for most commercial and domestic buildings as a levelling layer, Gyvlon screeds offer complete versatility of use: with thermal and acoustic insulation, electrical services and under-floor heating systems.
Using Anhydrite rather than cement in the screed means:
- Minimal cracking and no curling
- Rapid strength development
- Foot traffic in 24 to 48 hours
- Self-compacting
- Protein free
- Environmentally friendly product
Ground Source Heat Pump At one metres depth the average soil temperature in the UK remains consistently between 10 and 13 degrees. The 'ground loop' is a pipe which is buried in the garden at this depth and filled with a mixture of water and glycol. The mixture is at a low temperature and is gently warmed by the surrounding soil as it is pumped through the pipe.
The heat pump only requires an increase in the temperature of the water mix of just a few degrees. It is then put through a process which involves a series of heat exchangers and a compressor where the heat is concentrated so that an ideal temperature of 35 - 45 degrees C is achieved. This then feeds the central heating radiators or underfloor heating pipes for a controlled comfortable heat.
Air Source Heat Pump Air Source Heat Pumps work by converting the energy of the outside air into heat. This creates a comfortable temperature inside the house as well as supplying energy for the hot water system. As with all Ground Source Heat Pumps, Air Source Heat Pump models are most efficient when supplying low temperature systems such as underfloor heating. The efficiency of an Air Source Heat Pump is measured in Coefficient of Performance (CoP). A CoP of 4 means that for every kilowatt of electricity put in, you get 4 kilowatts of energy in the form of warm water. The flow temperature of the warm water is typically between 35 degree C and 45 degree C, much lower than achieved by a domestic boiler. The units are perfectly capable of generating higher temperatures but the CoP suffers, meaning the economic and ecological benefits may be affected. Keeping the temperature at the lower end of the scale keeps the system operating at a maximum efficiency. | | | Products and Services | | Treadwarm Ltd is a SelfBuild supplier | | Floor Screeding | | Plasterers, Screeders and Dry Lining Contractors | | Underfloor Heating | | | Regions Serviced | | England - East Midlands | | England - Eastern | | England - London | | England - Merseyside | | England - North East | | England - North West | | England - South East | | England - South West | | Wales | | England - West Midlands | | England - Yorkshire The Humber | |
