A service provider dedicated solely to the examination, testing and inspection of lifting equipment, work equipment, mountings, structures and associated products.
Since 1998 Statutory provision has been made for all lifting and work equipment in the UK mainland, offshore, and territorial waters to receive thorough examination, inspection, or testing at regular intervals, and for certification to be provided reflecting the results. This includes Non EU equipment intended to be used within the EU.
Testcert UK has a team with many years of experience in testing and inspection across all sectors of industry including nuclear, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, shipping, haulage, plant, and general engineering.
We offer cost effective examination, testing and inspection services, training and consultation to assist you in fulfilling your commitment to the safety of your workforce and the public in general. Our foundations were laid in shipping traditionally one of the most dangerous occupations. Until recently still one in which there was a disproportionately high instance of injury or death. Many persons lost due to either poor planning or a lack of understanding of the stresses placed on the equipment leading to failure from everyday work.
After 17 years in this industry learning slinging, rigging, heavy winching and cargo work watching the injuries mount up our founder qualified as a lifting equipment examiner and test engineer. He then went on to instruct in all disciplines of lifting whilst still examining and testing on a daily basis. During this time he has worked in equipment hire, crane hire, and for all of the large lifting equipment testing companies.
Expectations have changed over the years modern communication methods and an increasing awareness of the damage we all cause to our environment have generated the desire for service providers to reconsider how they do their business. Established companies cannot adapt to these requirements leaving the customer with reams of hard copy information wasteful and cumbersome. We have a predominately on-line business offering secure tamper proof certification that can be stored centrally by our customer. We use Cloud Computing to reduce our carbon footprint following our commitment to EN 14001 Environmental Policy requirements. These commitments and their benefits enable us to offer a reduction in costs to our customer - without compromising our service provision to you.
We have been formed at a time when legal compliance is paramount to the protection of both the employer and the employee.
