All our staff are experienced asbestos specialists and are qualified to British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) standards. All our surveys are carried out in accordance with the Methods for the Determination of Hazardous Substances; Surveying, Sampling and Assessment of Asbestos-Containing Materials (MDHS100).
Asbestos Surveys
Individuals and organisations who own property or are buying or selling property a Type 2 Asbestos Survey is normally undertaken. For refurbishments and demolition works a Type 3 Asbestos Survey is required.
How We Can Assist You
Whether your responsible for residential, commercial or industrial property EnviroHive can assist you with any asbestos concerns you may have whether it be general, technical or commercial advice. We are able to visit your property to take samples of specific materials you may be concerned with or an asbestos survey. Our surveys conform to those set out in the Health & Safety Executive document MDHS 100 -Surveying, sampling and assessment of asbestos. Regulation 4 'The duty to manage', requires the duty holder to:
* Take reasonable steps to find asbestos in the premises and assess the condition of these materials.
* Presume that materials contain asbestos unless there is strong evidence that they do not.
* Prepare a record of the location and condition of these materials and assess the risk from them.
* Prepare and implement a plan to manage those risks.
* Provide information on the location and condition of the material to anyone who is liable to disturb it.
We are also able to implement an asbestos management plan for your property in line with current legislative requirements as part of survey works or as a separate exercise. |
