Ground Source Heat Pumps
 Ground source heat pumps utilise renewable energy stored within the ground to provide the heat required for space and hot water within a building. The ground has a high thermal mass, and because of this the ground in the UK stays at a constant 11-12°C at a depth of 1-2m.

  
Air Source Heat Pumps 
Air source heat pumps absorb heat from the outside air. This heat can then be used to warm water for radiators or under floor heating systems.  An air source heat pump extracts heat from the outside air in the same way that a fridge extracts heat from its inside. It can extract heat from the air even when the outside temperature is as low as minus 15° C.  

Solar Energy Systems
 Solar energy is a cheap form of alternative power source reducing dependency on fossil fuels and utility companies. Using solar panels will take over the function of your boiler to heat your hot water during the day.   Solar thermal energy is a simple process whereby water is pumped through solar panels heating up on the way and stored in a tank ready for use. It is a clean renewable source of energy with no noise pollution or damaging emissions.

Underfloor Heating
 This type of heat distribution is becoming more and more popular on new builds and especially if heat pumps are going to be the heat source. It runs at a much lower temperature for longer periods of time giving a more even heat transfer making the living environment very comfortable. In most cases under-floor heating is 30% more efficient than conventional radiators and on a par with fan convectors.

Biomass Wood Boilers
 Modern biomass boilers are up to 97% efficient and virtually automated, meaning that, from an operational point of view in some situations you would notice very little difference between a biomass burner and a traditional oil or gas boiler.

  Advanced Condensing Gas Boilers 
Condensing boilers are the most energy efficient gas boilers on the market today.   A condensing boiler makes better use of the heat it generates from the fuel it burns; with conventional boilers some of the heat is lost via the flu. A condensing boiler works on the principle of recovering as much as possible of the waste heat.
