UKAS Accreditation
Why do we hold UKAS Accreditation? |  |
UKAS Accreditation is a legal requirement for companies carrying out measurement of airborne asbestos fibre concentrations (asbestos air monitoring), and analysis of materials for the presence of asbestos (asbestos testing) (see Regulations 19 and 20 of CAR 2006 respectively). It is inevitable that accreditation will be required for those carrying out building surveys for asbestos in the future. Such accreditations are assessed and granted by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).
UKAS accreditation is intended as a means by which the layperson can be reassured that a laboratory can offer high-quality services. The laboratory's procedures and practices are assessed to ensure that they meet the criteria laid down in European Standards.
Bradley Environmental have held the above accreditations since 1991, (asbestos surveying since 2004, shortly after that accreditation's inception), and have always sought to offer the most professional service possible. This ethos will remain the bedrock of our operations. |
