Homestead Design and Build is a small and compact building company, recently set-up as a progressive forward move by Barney Kalita a well established and highly regarded builder local to the Greater-Manchester and the East Cheshire areas.
Barney Kalita is a civil engineer, who went into his own refurbishment business in Surrey in 1989, and after showing a great penchant for home-remodelling design and a level headed attitude to controlling costs without cutting-down on quality workmanship, Barney’s design and build services soon became highly recommended and much sought after. In 1995 Barney and his young family moved up to the Manchester area, where he resumed his career as a builder and firmly established himself in this locality to this day.
It is regrettable that the building industry has for decades been beset with inept tradesmen and ruthless (Cowboy Builders) who constantly bring the industry into disrepute and many families have suffered anguish and heartbreak; after seeing their serious financial commitments and their dreams for a better home turn literally to dust. Achieving the highest standards, whilst keeping tight control over cost in any building project, requires a great deal of skill, a wide-ranging knowledge, and sectional expertise.
Homestead Design and Build is a company which utilises the expertise of architects, draughtsmen, structural engineers, and highly skilled tradesmen, who work in close association with designers, manufacturers, and importers of kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, conservatories, windows and doors, as well as a whole host of others; to produce end-results that proudly speak for themselves.
Our entire set-up is completely tailored to suit and meet with the requirements of our clients, and our office on Washway Road, Sale is dedicated to this purpose. We can work within the clients’ own architect’s plans, or completely take-on projects from the earliest ideas’ stage through planning and right up to completion. Homestead Design and Build can also offer its project management services to control and oversee contracted and ongoing constructions and refurbishments.
We are unequivocal believers that a builder’s reputation is the main vessel to his success or failure, and it will either be built-up or demolished by his own hands. Therefore the only solid ground to a good building business is customer satisfaction and recommendation. A good builder does his utmost to accomplish the best possible results for his clients, but must remain on hand to address any post-completion issues or complaints which may arise.
