Ground Surveys Ltd provides a reliable and accurate surveying service which is essential for any successful planning, design or construction project.
Our experienced survey teams are pro-active in their approach. Each survey is individually managed prior to audit and then is subject to a final field check by senior survey staff.
We aim to keep lead in times to one week and clients are kept informed of progress throughout. We do not stipulate geographical limits to our field of operations.
Topographical Surveys
Accurate location of physical features and points of detail. Most commonly surveyed for a plotting scale of 1/200 or 1/500.
Surveys will be contoured and supplemented with a detailed tree schedule. Service covers, utilities, buildings etc will be easily identifiable together with road alignments and sectional levels.
All surveys will be tied into the Ordnance Survey National Grid by GPS observations.
Detailed Surveys
Essential in built up areas and plotted at scales from 1/50 to 1/200. All detail is clearly shown and identified on the survey.
Adjacent building positions and heights are measured using reflectorless equipment. If required we can also produce outlined or detailed street scenes.
All surveys will be tied into the Ordnance Survey National Grid by GPS observations.
Measured Building
This service provides the client with accurate and detailed internal plans. Normal plotting scales are 1/50 and 1/100.
Surveys show openings, structural elements, floor levels, ceiling heights, sill and head heights, door swings, stairs, steps etc. Floors are surveyed on the same grid allowing direct overlay and comparison between building levels.
Building elevations also provide essential information for the client and can be either basic outline to fully detailed. Sections can be generated from this information.
Setting Out
Once design is complete co-ordinates can be calculated and loaded into our survey equipment. The original survey stations are then re-occupied and the relevant points set out.
GPS
Our Global Positioning System (GPS) enables us to co-ordinate any survey directly on to the Ordnance Survey National Grid.
This will facilitate direct overlay of surveys onto digital databases such as Promap and GIS systems.
