Founded as a joinery business in 1881, G.H.Chambers & Son of Workington is a by-word for quality in bespoke joinery and building services. The company’s showroom and shop is at James St/Oxford St in Workington but the working heart of the business is at the recently-extended workshops at the Preedy Road, Clay Flatts premises.

CHAMBERS joinery specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of high quality bespoke joinery to meet our customers' needs, both domestic and commercial. We currently employ 18 time served joiners and carpenters.

Building
We have a team of pre-qualified sub contractors to complement our own joiners, carpenters and building team. These include fully qualified electricians, plumbers, roofworks, groundworks and more.

 With extensive experience within the industry and firmly established subcontractor relationships, CHAMBERS joinery can manage and deliver a full turn key solution. 

We have the skills to manage your project from start to finish to ensure that your requirements are delivered on time, to your budget and to the high quality you should expect.


Shop fronts & shop fitting
CHAMBERS joinery can offer the full manufacture and installation of new and replacement shop fronts. In our recently extended workshop facility, our experienced team can produce specialist shop fronts to your own requirements, or to a design by ourselves.


Bar fittings & counters
CHAMBERS joinery can offer the full manufacture and installation of bars and counter services. In our recently extended workshop facility, our experienced team will produce specialist bars and reception counters to your own requirements, or to a design by ourselves. 

Examples of our work can be seen at the Skiddaw Hotel, Keswick; Braniff & Davidson Opticians, Workington; the Inn on the Lake, Ullswater; Plaza Bar, Workington Cinemas and the George Hotel, Penrith.


Office Refurbishments
CHAMBERS joinery have the skills to manage and carry out the full refurbishment of your property whether you are local industry or commercial properties and offices. Recent projects include the refurbishment of a board room for a local engineering company, full shop refurbishment for a local opticians and a local building society.
