Architecture
Since 1976, Masefields have been providing designs in the belief that successful buildings are those that respond to budget and performance in a physical form that however innovative or traditional fits comfortably into local context.
Masefields bring a range of technical and spatial experience and social understanding to bear on all projects where design services are sought. The multi disciplinary nature of the company means that our proposals are always founded firmly in reality.
Since Vitruvius architects have held Commodity Firmness and Delight to be the principle objectives of good design, Ruskin added truth, power, life, memory in his Seven Lamps and now we have new objectives of sustainability and energy efficiency, buildability and safety. Today's Clients require built solutions conceived to meet all these challenges and to satisfy the needs of building managers, users and visitors.
Concept Schemes
It is a common practice for Masefields to be required to produce concept schemes, site density analysis and project feasibility schemes. A number of alternatives may be produced for each site as part of the development process and of these, not all designs will progress beyond a conceptual model.
